We embarked on a creative journey for Cavallerizza Irreale, where we melded the concepts of still life and cabinet of curiosities into a captivating series of sculptures. Our intention was to create objects that would serve as enchanting 'amulets', intertwining elements from the natural world to form new and captivating shapes.
The 'Chamanismos' series began with a sculpture that served as the initial inspiration. We merged the head of a goat with shells and dried flowers, giving birth to a piece that became the foundation for the entire collection.
This sculpture symbolizes the convergence of different elements from nature and spirituality. The goat's head, often associated with ancient rituals and symbolism, represents a connection to primal energy and the mystical realm. The inclusion of shells symbolizes the ocean's wisdom and the cyclical nature of life, while the dried flowers represent the preservation of beauty and the passage of time.
From this starting point, we expanded upon the concept, exploring the interplay between various organic forms found in nature. By combining different elements such as plants, animals, and minerals, we created sculptures that invite viewers to contemplate the delicate balance between the seen and unseen, the tangible and ethereal.
In 'Chamanismos,' each sculpture tells its own unique story, evoking a sense of wonder and reverence for the natural world. We aimed to awaken a primal connection within viewers, reminding them of the profound beauty and mystery that surrounds us.
Through our artistic expression, we hope to transport observers into a realm where the boundaries between the physical and spiritual blur, and where the transformative power of art and nature intertwine.
